New Year, New Opportunities for Ambitious Ed Entrepreneurs

America’s current education system is not preparing all students for the future demands of college, career, the global economy, and effective participatory democracy. This is a challenge facing all communities – urban, suburban and rural – as student needs become more complex and achievement gaps persist. Bluum helps grow successful schools and develop innovative leaders by offering fellowships to aspiring education entrepreneurs.
In addition to the Idaho New School Fellowship, Bluum has created two brand-new Fellowships – the Idaho School Finance Fellowship and the Idaho School Leadership Fellowship. These education fellowships will transform education for Idaho’s neediest students by creating educational leaders who are innovative, flexible, and passionate about improving the prospects of children.
These education fellowship opportunities are a chance to be on the front lines of school change and improvement efforts in one of the country’s fastest growing and rapidly changing states. Idaho’s families are increasingly urban, more racially diverse, and from lower income households.
The Idaho School Finance Fellowship aims to develop the next generation of school finance professionals to support schools in fulfilling their missions – educating kids – because excellent schools stand on a strong financial foundation. The one-year fellowship will prepare an individual for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all of the finance-related activities of a charter public school in Idaho.
The one-year Idaho School Leadership Fellowship will ultimately prepare an individual for all aspects of school leadership; including responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and leading the academic and instructional needs of the students and staff in one of Bluum’s ’20 in 10′ partner schools.
We seek ambitious education pioneers interested in making a difference for an increasingly diverse group of students in one of America’s most beautiful and naturally wild states. If this describes you, apply now!
