Brian Bava brings nearly three decades of experience in education, most recently serving as Vice President of Enrollment Management at The College of Idaho. During his 15 years there, he held several leadership roles in admissions, helping grow the international student population from a dozen to 200 and contributing to record enrollment in 2019. He also served as Associate Dean of Admissions at Concordia University School of Law, supporting the school through provisional ABA accreditation during a challenging period for law school enrollment.
Originally from California, Brian spent much of his youth in Tokyo and Seoul attending international schools before completing high school at United World College USA, where he earned his International Baccalaureate diploma. He holds a bachelor’s degree in International Studies and History from American University and a graduate degree in Education Leadership from University of Idaho.
Brian began his career with the National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C., and later worked at Kimball Union Academy, where he served in multiple roles including Associate Director of Admission, college counselor, coach, and dorm parent. He values his time working directly with high school students, particularly guiding them through the college application process.
Brian and his wife Amy have two children, and he remains an avid sports fan. He is excited to return to more direct work with students and pursue new opportunities as an Idaho New School Fellow.
