Creating Social Distancing When Reopening Schools

There are a handful of Idaho schools currently weighing the decision to re-open in May, for at least a couple of weeks. Some schools have contacted Bluum to share their plans and ask questions. As part of the conversation, Greg Richmond, Bluum’s Chief Officer for Growth and Strategy, has consolidated information from a variety of national experts and networks into this 2 page resource.

Drawing on multiple sources, this document synthesizes and provides information and ideas about how schools can create social distance within their building(s) upon re‐opening. This is not an exhaustive list of all considerations facing schools, and not all the ideas listed here will be possible or even necessary at every school; so decisions
about which measures to implement in a specific situation should fit each school’s unique context. In short, reopened schools will look and operate very differently.
